What a week it's been at Ab-Lab!
One of the crew - who shall remain nameless - has just been invited to work with a specialist team at the Equestrian test event at Greenwich in preparation for the London 2012 Olympics and claims, mysteriously, to have been "sworn to secrecy" about the whole thing!  (Honestly, the lengths some people will go to, just to get 3 days off work in July)
The Boss went to a business seminar in London this week, returning with a load of brochures and muttering darkly about "HTML optimised RoboBit interfaces with meta-cached datatagging" - or something like that.  Seems to be connected to developing the interweb thingy that she's been designing.  (All very technological, I'm sure, but personally I'm much more in my comfort zone when staring at poo through a tube!)
Speaking of which, the core activities of Wormcounting and advising our customers, continue to keep us very busy.  Our Mobile lab has been out every day, performing on-site Faecal Egg Counts, with the results available to the customer immediately.
Our customers just love the speed, reliability and accuracy of our service.  This, together with the unique opportunity to discuss individual horses with us, face to face, and for free, keeps us as the leading provider of on-site FEC in our area.
Lynn, our administrator, does a fantastic job of keeping everything running like clockwork, handling the Repeat bookings and word of mouth recommendations.  A particular talent is making sure that the right Consultant gets to the right yard at the right time on the right day, which Lynn does every time with absolute precision.
As practitioners we're still very much in demand for lectures and presentations, which is a great opportunity for us to educate a wider audience to the equine, environmental and potential financial benefits of wormcounting (as well as raising general awareness of the role of the SQP).
Well, that's about it for now, so until next Saturday, have a good week.
The Ab-Lab Team.
