Hi All

Wow! It's September already but what a week we have had on the wormcount front.  Not only have we had so much repeat business from our existing clients but we are just getting more and more new yards every week.  Now that we have two Labs on the road we need to keep them both busy and we certainly are! But it is such fun in the office too because there is a real sense of rivalry between the two units regarding their team names! It started off as Lab 1 and Lab 2 but naturally that would not do and the terrible puns started.  We have had all manner of Lab names proposed this week (“Chocolate”  “Sky” and “Lib” being among the worst examples)  If you have any better suggestions please feel free to Tweet them to us or tell us on Facebook.  A prize for the best, with a closing date of next Friday.

The highlight of my week was my regular visit to wormcount at a local polo yard.  The ponies are so beautiful and fit (I know what you are thinking, and yes, the players are very nice too)!  The really good result they have achieved from extremely high counts in March to a wormcount for the whole yard of fewer than 50 epg this week was a real cause for celebration. It’s lovely to be able to give that sort of good news in person.

Has anyone else noticed a big influx of pinworms?  We have had many positive tests with a really high wormcount.  These poor horses must be driven mad by the little devils! Vigilance is required daily to ensure that there are no little ‘night visitors’ peeking out from your horse’s anus first thing in the morning.  If you do see them call Abacus and we will help you sort out the problem with the best SQP advice – all part of the service!

Well that’s all for this week.  Bye for now.
